How to Register for Meets
Online Swim Meet sign-ups
We are using Swimtopia to register for swim meets. Please register attendance (Yes or No) for every meet, even if your child will not be swimming (there is an option to select that your child will not attend).
1.Log in at the Swimtopia site
2.Click on the “Team Schedule/Swim Meets” tab
3.Scroll down to the meet you want to register for
4.In the right column, click on the Swim Sign Up link called “Meet Entry”
5.You children’s name should be listed. Click “Edit”
- choose your child’s event to swim in. See below for meet entry years.
- IMPORTANT!!!! Indicate if your child is available to swim for relays. There is a drop down box for each child. You MUST choose ONE of four:
- AVAILABLE FOR ALL RELAYS to consider your child for all relays
- ARRIVING LATE, NOT AVAILABLE FOR EARLY RELAYS to consider your child to swim a medley relay
- LEAVING EARLY, NOT AVAILABLE FOR LATE RELAYS to consider your child to swim a freestyle relay
- NOT AVAILABLE FOR ANY RELAYS if your swimmer will not attend the meet at all OR doesn’t want to be on a relay
If you are unsure of your swimmer’s availability (or willingness), please do NOT sign up for relays. It is very difficult to change relays once they are set. If circumstances beyond your swimmer’s control make swimming in a placed relay impossible, please let the Team Presidents know ASAP. If you are already at the meet, please let your Age Group Parents know.
6.Save the entries by clicking on the orange Save button at the bottom of the page.
All swimmers must register by 5PM on the Monday before each meet.
Meet Entry Rules:
10 and under swimmers are only allowed to and swim in 3 events, plus relays (coaches will assign relays; you only opt in or out for them). Please enter your swimmers in strokes they know how to swim legally.
11 and up swimmers are allowed to swim in all events....5 events plus relays (coaches assign relays)
Relay teams are set by the coaches using previous times and practice attendance. Coaches select the relay teams for each meet and not all children swim relays at every meet.
Freestyle relays are conducted at the beginning of the meets. If your swimmer MAY run late to the meet, do NOT sign up as available for this relay.
Medley relays are conducted at the end of each meet. If your swimmer MAY need to leave the meet early, do NOT sign up as available for this relay.
